New Range of Masking Paper Launched

The Trade Group have recently launched a new range of Masking Paper specifically designed for automotive paint masking. Available in two different lengths and in widths of 18” 36” and 48” the high quality paper, that is 50gsm, has a high wet strength and offers excellent resistance to base coats, clear coats, urethanes and water based paints.

The Trade Group Accelerates Its Plans

The Trade Group sends best wishes for the future, to the Hecks family and all the staff of Hex Holdings Limited, past and present, following the decision to place the company into Administration. It is a very sad day for the refinish industry when a distributor with the long history and credentials of Hex Holdings is faced with this situation.

Trade Group’s Executive Director, Rob Cook, added "the new Board of Directors, which has been in place since June, has ensured that the Trade Group’s business model is robust enough to sustain the loss of Hex Holdings Ltd and will accelerate their plans for the expansion of the Group’s distribution network".

The Trade Group Appoints a New Board of Directors

Nigel Hecks, Chairman and Director since the formation of the Independent Distributor Co-Operative in 1993, retired from his position at the end of June 2011 and a new Board of Directors has been appointed. Robin Cook, previously General Manager, was appointed Executive Director responsible for the continued development of The Trade Group, the T Euro brand and the warehouse and distribution operation based in Leicestershire.

The Trade Group, which was formed to support independent distributors in the crash repair market, has enjoyed significant growth and success since its conception. The T Euro brand has developed beyond a complete range of Bodyshop consumable products and now includes a water based paint system called T EuroWave, and T Euromix a specialist coatings paint system which includes industrial and commercial vehicle finishes. In addition to the T-Euro brand The Trade Group also distributes major manufacturers’ brands from its central warehouse, helping distributors reduce their stock holding and improve their cash flow.

In addition to the growth of T Euro in the UK, the brand has developed successfully into France and is now about to develop into Italy through a newly appointed partner as part of the European company Autonovation, of which The Trade Group is a founder member. T Euro products can also be found within many of the major motor manufacturers’ plants in the UK.

To compliment The Trade Group’s Independent Shareholder Distributors, a strong group of network distributors has also been developed across the UK and also in Ireland.

The Directors and Shareholders are planning further growth in The Trade Group network, and continued development of the T Euro range during 2011 and will be relocating into a new distribution warehouse and Head Office.

New Production Paper Launched

In line with the recent revamp of the T-Euro Abrasives range the Trade Group have recently launched a new and improved range of production paper.

Ideal as a dry alternative to wet and dry abrasive paper, the new production paper is manufactured using a high quality E weight paper and bonded with a heat treated aluminium oxide git. The result is an abrasive paper which offers better cutting powder and increased longevity for both hand sanding and machine use.

Available in two different grits P40 & P80 and product is presented in the new T-Euro livery and features the new part numbering system.

New Wood Finishing Products Added to T-EuroMix Range

Following the successful launch of the T-EuroMix Industrial Paint Mix System in 2010, the Trade Group have recently added a range of wood finishing products to the already extensive industrial paint mix system.

The range features primers, lacquers, binders and stains all specifically designed for the wood finishing market. These new additions compliment the established range which has already had recent successes in fleet refurbishment of commercial vehicles, metal fabrication, commercial vehicle repair, industrial floor coating and canal boat building.

Designed to be a complete ideal solution for furniture manufacturers, shop fitters and wood component producers the range offers both 1K Pre Cat and 2K Acid Cat options in translucent lacquer and coloured topcoats.

Colour requirements and a variety of sheen levels can be matched from the extensive EuroMix formulation database which holds upwards of 20,000 shades from all the main directories including: RAL, British Standards, Pantones, NCS, OEM, commercial fleet colours, agricultural machinery and house colours.

Wet & Dry Abrasive Sheet Relaunched with Improved Material

The Trade Group's range of T-Euro Wet & Dry Abrasive sheets have changed to a new and improved material. Manufactured with a waterproof backing and coated with a sharper grit, the new material offers a better cut than the previous paper and is now comparable to other brand leaders in the marketplace. The sheets are available in a range of grits from P180-P2500 and can be used in both wet and dry sanding operations, while still remaining flexible and able to conform to different shapes. In conjunction with the recent rebranding programme, the product will be presented in packs of 25 with the new T-Euro livery and will feature the new part numbering system.

Trade Group Launch New Microfilm Sanding Disc

Presented in the new T-Euro livery, the Trade Group has recently strengthen their already established abrasives range with the launch of microfilm finishing discs system. Featuring a special premium grade mineral with improved bonding power that provides fast and sharp cutting power, without shelling or becoming clogged. The Microfilm discs are ideal for primer sanding, blending, denibbing or for the removal of orange peel. Presented 50 per box the discs are available in a 7 hole format in grits P800-P2000.

Trade Group Launches New Range of 747 High Performance Velcro Discs

The Trade group are pleased to announce the launch of a new range of fast fix Velcro discs.

Presented in the new T-Euro livery this new range of 7 hole, 150mm discs are available in a range of grits (P80-P500) and offer high performance sanding across a range of substrates. Constructed from an special anti clogging aluminium oxide material , the 747 discs are extremely durable while at the same time provide an aggressive cutting action with an even scratch pattern. Ideal for numerous sanding applications including paint removal, filler flattening and primer sanding the discs will replacing the existing range of T-Euro abrasives discs TVDH which have been successfully sold in the market for over the last 5 years.

The T-Euro livery is having a makeover

Following extensive customer research and ongoing discussions with our distributors regarding the presentation of our products and brand, the Trade Group have taken the decision to give their packaging a makeover and have recently started rolling out their new livery and part number system.

The new packaging is still based around the dark blue colour that has become synonymous with products from the Trade Group, but the restyle sees a new fresher look with the part number and the T-Euro brand being more prominent. Some of the first products to feature the new packaging style will be 1lt Stonechip, Cotton Tack Rags and HS Primer Filler.
